Your donation will help us with the pamphlets, posters and badges being produced for International FDS Day.
International Family Drug Support Day is held on the 24th of February each year – the anniversary of the passing of Damien Trimingham from a drug-related overdose. It is now an annual event to highlight the need for families to not only be recognised and heard but to be supported and encouraged to speak about their concerns and their needs.
Please donate to Harm Reduction Australia Pill Testing Fundraiser.
We need your help to raise $100,000 to introduce pill testing throughout Australia. Harm Reduction Australia (HRA) is part of the Safety Testing Advisory Service At Festivals and Events (STA-SAFE) Consortium that conducted the first officially sanctioned pill testing pilot in Australia (Pill Testing Pilot ACT June 2018 Final Report). The pilot was overwhelmingly successful.
What is less well known is that the pilot was able to proceed because of the financial and voluntary contributions of HRA, members of the STA-SAFE Consortium and the pro bono contributions of a number of supporters. This included legal advice and the free loan of the equipment needed to conduct the on-site chemical analysis of samples presented by patrons at the festival.
We now need to raise funds to run further pilot programs
