14 A huge congratulations to our FDS Co-founder – Sandra Trimingham OAM… Family Drug Support Co-founder & Senior Manager Sandra Trimingham was awarded an Order of Australia Medal (OAM) in the Australia Day Honours List for 2022. Sandra was recognised for her unwavering service to the community through alcohol and drug use assistance. Sandra managed the FDS telephone support line and volunteers for twenty-five years. She has helped to recruit, train and supervise hundreds of people in the delicate art of support skills which have subsequently helped hundreds more deal with a family member’s substance use. Sandra has been instrumental in the development of the Family Drug Support programs and resources and has been an invaluable support to our CEO, Tony Trimingham OAM and the staff of Family Drug Support. Thank you for your tireless efforts over 26 years and congratulations to Sandra, this honour is well deserved! A huge congratulations to our FDS Clinical Services Manager – Chloe Span… A huge congratulations to Chloe Span, who was the recipient of the Individual Community award. Chloe has showed exceptional compassion and consistent support to families in AOD. When accepting her award Chloe remarked, 'If you support the family, you improve the outcome for everyone, and that can never be underestimated, so thank you.' Thank you and congratulations to Chloe!
