FDS Insight Magazine Nov - Dec 2022

1 I NSIGHTS O UT s we come to the end of another calendar year, everyone at Family Drug Support is pretty tired after quite a busy and eventful year. After several postponements and cancellations due to COVID, we have resumed normal activities and have been able to run several Stepping Stones courses in different locations, as well as Volunteer Training and other activities. This year, we have had many exciting developments due to the expansion of support services that Family Drug Support was able to provide for families. FDS has employed several new staff to cover more regional and metropolitan areas of Australia than ever before. In this edition of Insight , you will find an article about the recent launch FDS held at Toowoomba, Queensland. Over the next few months, in addition to launching activities in Toowoomba, FDS is planning to open support services in Cairns, North Queensland and in the New England region, Northern New South Wales. In South Australia, FDS is expanding metropolitan support services and have commenced to operate new regional support meetings in Willunga and an online state-wide support meeting. I would like to wish all our members, staff and volunteers compliments of the season. I hope everyone has a good rest and a peaceful, happy holiday time. Tony Trimingham, OAM FDS welcomes your ideas.
